WHY WE ARE

We learned that some of our neighbors are in need of help. And we learned that this type of help was not provided by any other organization serving Millburn Township.

Mission Statement

The specific objectives and purposes of this Corporation shall be to provide short-term assistance to households facing unexpected financial set-backs. With money raised through fundraising within a municipality and through additional sources, Down the Block, Inc. will supply goods and services to that municipality's residents who have been deemed eligible pursuant to its screening procedures. Down the Block, Inc. is further authorized to engage in activities necessary or incidental to its main purposes and pursuits.
